The International Space University (ISU) is very excited to be hosted by Portugal Space and the Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST) Taguspark Campus in Oeiras, Portugal, from 27 June to 26 August 2022 to offer its intensive, multidisciplinary, intercultural, and international two-months in-residence Space Studies Program (SSP). This year again many ISU faculty applied to be a chair of either the core lectures, departments, or team projects, all of which compose ISU’s two-month SSP.
After confirmation from ISU’s Academic Council on the selection of the SSP22 chairs in November 2021, Mr Göktuğ Karacalioglu, SSP22 Director states:
“We are happy to announce the academic leadership team for SSP22. This team is composed of 31 esteemed ISU faculty members representing 13 countries. They have been working hard for the last seven months to design a very rich, exciting, and dynamic curriculum and thanks to their effort we have a very interdisciplinary, intercultural and international program, in line with the latest trends of the space sector. All our Chairs will soon be travelling to Portugal to meet and welcome the SSP22 participants.”

The Space Studies Program (SSP) is an intense two-month course for postgraduate students and professionals of all disciplines and provides a unique educational experience. The SSP offers a unique curriculum designed specifically for professionals starting or changing direction in their space careers or for people working in space-related fields who wish to broaden their knowledge base. The SSP provides courses in all space disciplines including space engineering, space science, space applications, space economy, entrepreneurship, policy, and law, as well as hands-on education through workshops and professional visits. SSP22, the 34th Space Studies Program session will be hosted by Portugal Space (the Portuguese Space Agency) and the Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST) Taguspark Campus in Oeiras, Portugal – onsite from 27 June to 26 August 2022. The online program will take place from 27 June to 5 August 2022.
