The ISU incubator was established at the Central Campus of ISU to support start-ups. The decision to create the incubator was based on a survey of ISU alumni, which found that 80% of recent alumni were in favor of the incubator. Therefore, a local ecosystem was established to provide incubation services to ISU alumni at the campus.
The main advantages of this centralized location are the on-site staff and the opportunity to learn from visiting lecturers. This not only offers valuable advice but also the potential for networking with clients, particularly those from agencies and industry-related backgrounds. As of July 2024, ISU currently hosts 4 start-ups in the incubation program and 4 more in the pre-incubation phase. In addition, remote support is being provided to an incubator that requires larger production facilities.
